The rice is one of the preferred crops all over the world. Like potatoes, rice provides the necessary amount of carbohydrates, and it is also extremely tasty!

Cook in a heavy bottomed pot

It doesn’t matter what material your pot is made of, it just matters that it has a solid bottom. For this reason, cheap dishes made of thin metal will not work for you. The rice in them will be completely cooked from the bottom, and the top will most likely remain slightly raw.

Observe the ratio of water and rice

Surely you have heard the golden “grandmother’s rule” – to cook rice in water in a ratio of 1:3. But this is a sure guarantee that you will get boiled rice. In order for the grains not to stick together during the cooking process, a ratio of 1:1.5 should be observed.

Wash the rice well before cooking

If you want to make fluffy rice, rinse it with cold water. This will remove the excess starch that makes the rice look sticky. The rice is rinsed several times until the water from it remains clear.
