In this couple, not everything is as smooth as it seems
David and Victoria Beckham are role models for many. He is a famous football player, she is a former singer who managed not only to become famous as a designer, but also to turn her whole family into a fashion brand!
It is true that lately the paparazzi are increasingly writing that the family idyll is fake, nothing more than a skillful game for the camera.
For example, in 2017, a scandal broke out: photographers filmed how, after returning from vacation, David did not go home, but went directly to his new passion.
The paparazzi could not find out much about the mysterious lover of the 41-year-old football player. It’s just that she’s a model. And David probably met her at a party.
Before that, the footballer also had “side activities”. In 2010, a big scandal broke out. Beckham was then caught having an affair with a 26-year-old model named Irma Ritchie.
The romance was quite long and there was even talk that the footballer was about to leave his wife and children. This ultimately did not happen, and to everyone’s surprise, the deceived Victoria sided with her husband.
“Nobody said marriage was going to be easy,” she fended off press attacks and added that “the adversity brought her and David even closer,” and as proof of her words, the couple soon had baby Harper.
True, in 2012 they again began to talk about the infidelity of the former captain of the English team. For example, this time the handsome athlete fell in love with the singer Catherine Jenkins.
And although David himself called the information an outright lie, and Victoria was again ready to retaliate against anyone who would slander their family, the unpleasant aftertaste of this whole situation remained.
The football player was also suspected of being in a relationship with a well-known lingerie saleswoman from Los Angeles. Perhaps no one would have found out about this affair (if it existed, of course!) if it were not for the trial of the football star with In Touch magazine.
David sued for the fabricated facts against him, and they responded with another “fry”. It is said that the footballer repeatedly used the “services” of a girl who also worked in one of the lingerie boutiques.
And the closest Victoria and David came to divorce was 20 years ago, when everyone started talking about the footballer cheating on his wife with his beautiful assistant Rebecca Luce.
David has never officially admitted to cheating. But such scandals do not happen out of nowhere. And now, for the premiere of the Netflix documentary, two decades later, Mrs Beckham tearfully revealed that the allegations about David’s alleged affair with his personal assistant had been “the hardest time of her life”.
According to her, at that time she and David were really on the verge of breaking up.
