The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has awarded the legendary French actor Alain Delon with the Order of Merit, the highest Ukrainian award, for his support to the country. This was announced by the Ukrainian ambassador to France Vadim Omelchenko live in the program of the host Cyril Vigier on TV5Monde.
He noted that the awarding of the star of the French cinema by President Zelensky with the Order of Merit III degree for the aid to Ukraine is an “extremely rare and unprecedented gesture towards a foreigner”, writes “Now”.
