Silvia Katsarova is a Bulgarian singer of Turkish origin. Her birth name is Silver Nuri. Today she turns 70 years old! She was born on April 26, 1954.

She has a broken marriage with the musician Milcho Katsarov, with whom they have one child – Teddy Katsarova, who is also a singer.

With her talent, distinctive timbre and style of performance influenced by rhythm and blues and soul, she has been instrumental in the success of LZ. Songs such as “White Sigh”, “The Big Ship Passes”, “Warm Rain” became hits in the 80s, as well as her hit with Vasil Naydenov “Fire of Love”.

Having spent her childhood in Dobrich, she moved with her parents to Haskovo in 1969, where she graduated from the economic technical school.

With the help of teachers Lili Nenkova and Irina Chmihova, she managed to prepare for the candidate student exams in the Variety Department of the Music Academy, graduating in the class of Yevgeny Komarov.

At the beginning of his career, he gained experience in various genres – from Gypsy-Russian romances to jazz-rock with the quintet of pianist Mario Stanchev.

He settled in the group “LZ”, which he formed together with his future husband Milcho Katsarov. For more than three decades, thousands of Bulgarian music lovers have been singing the hits of “LZ”.

Songs like “The big ship is passing”, “Warm rain”, “Promise me love” are just some of the pearls filled with the brilliant voice of Silvia Katsarova. In the 1970s and 1980s, he participated in the release of the group’s five albums and performed a number of engagements in entertainment venues in Scandinavia.

At the end of the 80s, her duets with Vasil Naydenov “Fire of Love” and “Everything is Love” became very popular, and at the beginning of the 90s – “I pray”. “Warm Rain” was named “Song of the Year” in the 1987 televised contest of the same name. In the group’s album from 1988, there are songs written by composers such as Toncho Rusev, Zornitsa Popova, etc. In 1994, together with her husband Milcho Katsarov, she founded her own recording studio – “Silvia Music”. Her daughter Teddy Katsarova followed in her footsteps.
