A John Lennon guitar that was thought lost for 50 years has been found. The instrument was used in some of the quartet’s iconic songs such as “Help!”, “It’s Only Love” and “Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)”.

The musical instrument was discovered by accident in the attic of an elderly couple. It will now be put up for auction, and experts expect the price to top a whopping £600,000, reports CTV News.

Ringo Starr, the drummer of the legendary group, personally contacted the auction house to enjoy Lennon’s valuable guitar.

“We received a call from a family. The son said his parents are elderly and moving to a new, smaller home. During the move, they found the guitar they knew they had, but at one point decided they had lost somewhere. It’s probably the last chance for fans to own something that was Beatles. John Lennon played this guitar, so did George Harrison. And we recently showed it to Ringo Starr because he wanted to be a part of it “, explained the co-founder of the auction house.
