The financial recovery of the Municipality of Kardzhali is the main topic of the upcoming session of the local parliament

The financial recovery of the Municipality of Kardzhali will be the main topic of the upcoming session of the local parliament. There are 37 items on the agenda in total. The leading one is the opening of a procedure for the financial recovery of the Municipality of Kardzhali. This is another attempt in recent years to tighten financial discipline. Currently, the Municipality of Kardzhali has debts of over BGN 30 million, as in the republican budget must recover BGN 6 million by the end of the year.

Adoption of a report on the state of municipal property and the results of its management in 2023 is on the agenda of the session.

A vote is pending on the Addendum and amendment of the Program for the management and disposal of properties – municipal property for 2024. The Municipal Council will support a proposal of the mayor Errol Mümün to give consent for the sale of properties – private municipal property, included in the Program for management and disposal with properties – municipal property for 2024, determination of market prices and the method of selling the properties.
