A solemn ceremony and opening of an exhibition will take place in Kyustendil the competition “Spring on the leaves”reported on “Focus” from the “Culture and Spiritual Development” department. The event is scheduled for 12.00 in the lobby of the Municipal Drama Theater building.

At an art conference, over 1,200 works of young artists from all over the country, participants in the seventeenth edition of the competition, were examined and evaluated.

This year, a six-member jury is engaged in the difficult task of evaluating and discussing the artistic production of the students: Chairman Prof. Dr. Valentin Gospodinov – Director of the “Vladimir Dimitrov – Master” HG and teacher at the National Academy of Fine Arts Sofia; Vladimir Shunev – artist, chairman of representative of the Union of Bulgarian Artists – Kyustendil Group; Biser Lapev ​​- art teacher and gallerist; Emanuela Dülgerska-Milanova – head of the “Culture and Spiritual Development” department Kyustendil Municipality and Ljubliana Nacheva – artist, Chief Expert in Kyustendil Municipality.

“Spring has blossomed again in the colorful palette of children’s art. With the national competition “Spring on a leaf”, the freedom of creativity, expressed through various visual materials, recreates spring landscapes and still lifes, flowers, figurative compositions, as well as free images in spring harmony. The competition inspires artists and admirers from all over the country and meets them in the city of spring – Kyustendil”, said the organizers of the prestigious competition for children’s drawing.

The representative exhibition includes 91 works submitted for participation in the national competition. Works by children from Popovo, Gorna Oryahovitsa, Dobrich, Kazanlak, Sofia, Montana, Kardjali, the village of Lozen, Razgrad, Varna, Svilengrad, Lom, Tryavna, Vidin, Burgas, Veliko Tarnovo, Lovech, Suhindol, Targovishte, Nikolaevo will be arranged. Sungurlare, Svishtov, Pleven, Tryavna, Ruse, Pravets, Sliven, Kocherinovo and Septemvri.

First place, in the first age group, was the work of Emanuela Kamenova from the VI “Father Paisiy” Secondary School, Montana. In the second age group, the first place was awarded to Ana – Maria Ushverova from CPRL – ODK School of Fine Arts, Targovishte In the third age group, Maria Kolcheva from NUPID “Acad. Dechko Uzunov”, city of Kazanlak. In the group for students with special educational needs, the winner is Tihomir Vasilev from SUUNZ “Prof. Dr. Ivan Shishmanov”, city of Varna. There are no ranked students in the group for international participation. In the “Computer graphics” category, the winner is Petar Simeonov from PCAG “William Shakespeare – Intellect Invest”, city of Sofia.

The jury awarded a total of 15 prizes. There are also 7 promotional awards. There are also awards for convincing performance in individual artistic genres: watercolor; crayon; plot; oil pastel; ceramics; acrylic paints.
