Chamber music week starts today in Dobrich. Its current edition is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of its creator Prof. Konstantin Iliev – conductor, composer, music pedagogue and critic. The program was chosen carefully and with the professionalism of the conductor of the Bulgarian Chamber Orchestra, maestro Arto Chifchiyan.

Prof. Konstantin Iliev lived in Dobrich from 1972 to 1978 and conducted the local chamber orchestra. At that time, he also created the Chamber Music Week in the Dobruja city, and in the words of the Deputy Mayor for Humanitarian Activities of the Municipality of Dobrich, Vladimir Trendafilov, deserves special attention:

“There are 4 evenings ahead, in which we will see world-class musicianship. We invite our fellow citizens not to miss this event, because it will be worth seeing. All concerts will be from 6:30 p.m. in the Dobrich Hall, Organ Hall”.

The week of chamber music in Dobrich, in addition to the centenary of the birth of Prof. Konstantin Iliev, is also dedicated to two more dates. On the first evening, works by Pancho Vladigerov will be performed in honor of the 125th anniversary of his birth, said the conductor of the Bulgarian Chamber Orchestra, Arto Chifchiyan.

For the third concert evening, maestro Chifchiyan has invited opera singer Anna Karadimitrova and pianist Bozhena Ivanova, who will perform arias and songs from American and English musicals, as well as works by Pancho Vladigerov.

Another concert is being prepared for music lovers – for six people, which will take place on April 27 and which is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of maestro Zahari Mednikarov, adds Svetlana Popova – chief expert in the Municipality of Dobrich. She invited to the concert, specifying that the entrance was free.

The rich program of the Chamber Music Week in Dobrich provides an opportunity for all lovers of musical art to immerse themselves in the extravaganza of sounds. You can find details about it on the website of the Municipality of Dobrich.
