Almost 300 candidate students from all over the country appeared for the preliminary candidate exam in chemistry at Thrace University, which was held on Sunday. The exam, which is the entrance to the specialties “Medicine”, “Ecology and Environmental Protection” and “Food Technology”, requires in-depth knowledge and extremely good preparation on the part of the candidates. According to tradition, the vice-rector for educational and information activities – Prof. Neli Grozeva and the experts from the Academic Department of the Rectorate met the candidates at the entrance and guided their placement in the halls.

Three parents were present at the opening of the sealed box in which the examination papers are kept, as well as at the subsequent drawing of the examination options in the hall with the most candidates. The draw determined a student candidate from Smolyan, who drew respectively option 1 for the closed questions, option 2 for the task part and again option 2 for the open questions. The drawing took place in public in the presence of 70 candidates, parents and curators. The chairperson of the chemistry examination committee, Prof. Galina Nikolova, gave technical instructions to the candidate-students in all examination halls, and the vice-rector, Prof. Grozeva, wished them success and expressed hope , that he will have the opportunity to welcome them to the academic community of Thrace University in the new academic year.

Those wishing to apply to Thrace University who missed the preliminary exams will have the opportunity to do so in the regular session in June – the acceptance of documents will take place from June 3 to 21, 2024, online, on site in the building at the Rector’s Office, at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Yambol, at the Branch in Haskovo, as well as at the offices of the Central Institute of Technology throughout the country. Registration closes three days before the exam day.
