Rotarians organize a charity campaign “Buy and donate” for Easter

Rotaract Club Burgas – Primorye and Interact Club Burgas – Primorye are organizing a charity campaign “Buy and donate” for Easter. The initiative has been implemented over the years by various organizations of local Rotarians, but before Christmas. Now the young people have decided to carry out the initiative for Resurrection of Christ as well, so that food packages can be provided for socially weak citizens of Burgas for this holiday as well.

We were motivated by the success of our campaign in December, when we managed to collect a record amount of food, nearly 3 tons. We hope that the citizens of Burgas will support us in our efforts to make people in need happy again, he said Angel Angelov, president of Rotaract Club Burgas – Primorye:

“This is one of our best actions! In the last one, we helped 36 people with low incomes from the lists of the BCH and 12 young people with disabilities from Burgas. We provided food and detergents to the Home for the Elderly in Aytos and the Children’s Center in Sredets. Volunteers from the BMCHK are also involved in our campaign. We conduct the collection, track the transportation and distribution of the donations.”

The products that are collected must be packaged and durable, such as cans, pulses, sugar, oil, sugar and pasta products, etc., as well as sanitary and cleaning products.

In the next week, the members of the Interact Club Burgas – Primorye will distribute brochures about the campaign. During its implementation, they will inform METRO customers about how they can join the action, it was announced Anton Pirev, vice president of Interact club Burgas – Primorye.

“We have young people from 12 to 18 years old as members and we are looking for new members who want to participate in similar campaigns. “Buy and donate” will be held on weekends from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and I am calling on anyone who wants to get involved with products or as a volunteer for the campaign. When we all unite and are together we can achieve a lot. Let’s do good for Easter!”

Rotarians hope that Burgasians will once again support and join the campaign. It will be on April 27 and 28 in the METRO store.
