Denis Cherevichko and Anelia Dimitrova will dance in the performance “Swan Lake” on the stage of the Stara Zagorje Opera

The prima ballerina of the Stara Zagora State Opera Anelia Dimitrova and the ballet dancer of the Vienna State Opera Denis Cherevichko will perform the leading roles in the ballet “Swan Lake” tomorrow evening on the stage of the Stara Zagora Opera House. This is clear from the program of upcoming events published on the official website of the cultural institution. In the role of Rothbart, viewers will see Fiordi Loja, and Filipo Sartorelli will be the Jester. The entire multinational troupe of the State Opera Ballet – Stara Zagora will take part.
Denis Chervichko captured the hearts of the Bulgarian public after his participation in the Ballet Competition in Varna in 2012, where he won first prize and a gold medal, the organizers recall. In 2019, he visited Bulgaria for the first time in the role of Prince Siegfried from the ballet “Swan Lake” on the stage of the Staro Zagora Opera House at the invitation of Silvia Tomova and Ognyan Draganov. In 2020, he opened the ballet season in Stara Zagora by performing in one of his crowning roles – Basil from the ballet “Don Quixote” by Minkus.
“This is a world-renowned ballet dancer, one of the ‘academic’ dancers who dance beautifully and cleanly and preserve the achievements of the old ballet school,” says Silvia Tomova, artistic director of the ballet troupe. “It is a great joy for us that Denis will again dance with the prima ballerina of our opera, Anelia Dimitrova, in the role of Kitri”, she emphasized.
The premiere of the production of “Swan Lake” in the City of Linden was in 2017.
