Until May 1, they are accepting nominations for the “Culture” award of the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo

The Municipality of V. Tarnovo will accept nominations for awarding the “Culture” award for 2023 until May 1. They are in two sections – for outstanding achievements in the field of art and culture and for the most successful debut or performance of a young artist (with creative performances up to 5 years old).
The first section has 8 subcategories with one award for each of them: “Culture” award for outstanding achievements in the field of literature – one award for one work from one of the following genres: prose, poetry, drama or translation; “Culture” award for outstanding achievements in the field of performing arts – one award for one performance or role of an individual artist from one of the following genres: theater, music, dance art or ballet; “Culture” award for outstanding achievements in the field of fine arts; “Culture” award for outstanding achievements in the field of cultural-historical heritage, architecture and aestheticization of the urban environment; “Culture” award for outstanding achievements in the field of contemporary multi-genre arts; “Culture” award for a work of art or a cultural event for children; “Culture” award for outstanding achievements in the field of audio-visual arts and photography; “Culture” award for media and journalism in the field of culture.
The nomination conditions are available on the website of the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo – Ordinance on the symbols and awards of the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo, chapter V, section III “Culture” award.
Nominations are submitted in writing to the Veliko Tarnovo Municipal Council. They go through a discussion in an expert committee, and then through a vote at a meeting of the WTObS. The awards will be officially presented on the eve of the Day of Bulgarian Education, Culture and Literacy – May 24.
