The BSP approaches the elections on June 9 in a different way and guarantees the unification of the structures and the electorate of the Reds in Burgas. The leader of the party list will traditionally be determined by the National Council, but it is also clear that there is no one more worthy of such a position than Eng. During this time, he managed to prove himself as one of the most hard-working MPs and a defender of a number of causes for the region. His latest one is related to the long-awaited repair of the Tsarevo-Malko Tarnovo road, and he is also one of the best-prepared economists in the country. Today, Eng. Petar Kanev attended the meeting, leaving the room without passing the reporters. “We made our decision with wisdom and understanding, and I am convinced that BSP will achieve a very good result for Burgas in the elections. The people on the list will be chosen unanimously, we are united and this, for me, is the most important sign of success,” said Eng. Petar Kanev.
The second place this time will go to the new regional leader of the BSP Todor Baichev – who traditionally always rearranged the lists and won between 1,500 and 2,000 personal preferences for each vote. He is a former Member of Parliament and Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture.
The unusual approach of the Regional Council was to delegate rights to local municipal structures to determine their deputy candidate. The move is unprecedented and extremely wise, as possible agreements at the level of the District Council are excluded and municipal organizations are given the opportunity to unite around one name.
Today, the positions for the list by place were voted. The third place will be for a representative of BSP-Burgas. According to information from Flagman.bg, it will be someone between the municipal councilors in ObS-Burgas – Chanko Mirchev and Stanimir Baev.
Interestingly, in the upcoming vote, the third position may secure a place for the parliament. All sociologists predict an increase in the result of the BSP by several points. And if the party participates in the next administration of the country, almost certainly someone between the first two will enter the executive power and an opportunity will open for the third to enter the parliament.
The fourth place will be for the structure in Sozopol, as the favorite there is the deputy mayor Andrey Nikolov, but it is not excluded that the candidate will be Yordan Petkov, who is the municipal chairman of the BSP in the maritime municipality.
The fifth position will be for Aytos, from where they have already decided who will be their representative. This is the sharp oppositionist Milena Kurtova-Radeva.
“We hope that quality and socially acceptable individuals will be offered to us.
They have such in Aytos and Burgas. In Burgas, they have yet to elect and structure a municipal council, within two days the person for the third place will be nominated.
BSP is in good condition and I have always said that every party should be ready for new elections from the day the previous ones are over. We have structures in all settlements, our people know what they have to do and we are looking forward to May 9 – the opening of the election campaign”, regional leader Todor Baichev told Flagman.bg.
After the 6th place, the right is delegated to the leadership of the Regional Council in Burgas to arrange the lists until the end, and the proposals will be considered in a slightly different way and criteria, Baichev added and guaranteed that the people that the BSP will raise from Burgas will be to one with expertise, good education and proven personal qualities.
“We are united in the goal of victory, but the ways by which it should be achieved, according to each of us, are different and that is normal. It is high time that the Burgas structure of the BSP enters the fast lane and starts moving and overtaking at a faster speed,” said Todor Baichev.
