The week in “Severen” took place under the sign of the fight against pollution – unregulated landfills, abandoned private properties, garbage from establishments, refreshment of park spaces and replacement of broken benches, removal of dangerous branches on signals.

Here is the full report on what was done by the regional mayor Vencislava Ljubenova.

The patrols of unregulated landfills on municipal and private land in the area continue. Municipal areas are strictly cleaned by OP “Cleanliness” employees, and private property owners receive cleaning instructions.

The municipal part of the landfill behind MBAL Plovdiv has been cleaned by employees of OP “Cleanliness”, and some of the owners have already cleaned their private properties after instructions sent by the administration of the “Severen” region.

We held a working meeting with business representatives from the Northern Industrial Zone.

Regular inspections are carried out together with the POI, including in the evening, of catering establishments for unregulated disposal of waste.

Joint inspections are carried out with employees of the Plovdiv Municipal Inspectorate and OP “Municipal Police” for the walking of domestic dogs in places that are not intended for this purpose.

We joined the career forum “Internships” of TU Sofia – Plovdiv branch. Over 50 of the largest companies in Bulgaria presented their current job positions and summer internship programs.

The replacement of rotted and broken ribs on garden benches continues, as well as the installation of new ones at the request of citizens.

Inspections and pasting of end-of-life motor vehicles on the territory of the “Northern” region continue, with the owners having a 3-month deadline to relocate. End-of-life motor vehicles that have been impounded by the National Revenue Agency or PSI cannot be repatriated until they are released from encumbrance.

We took part in a master class on “Bitcoin, digital assets and the future of money” held at the Graduate School of Security and Economics. The speaker was Dr. Jane Thomason, Chair Emeritus of the World Metaverse Council and founder of the Web3 Institute.

The orders for the removal of dangerous branches and trees are being processed. The orders are carried out by employees of OP Gardens and Parks, and citizens can report them to 032/901 164 or 032/901 199, as well as to e-mail.

We attended an organizational meeting with the management of UARR regarding an upcoming international symposium.

The landfill formed around the containers in front of the entrance to Panayot Volov Primary School has been cleaned.

We received and processed a number of reports about dangerous shafts, power poles, garbage collection and more.

We also received signals about the cleaning of the bed of the Maritsa river, which, however, is not within the authority of the regional town hall.
