Yaroslav Dimitrov has been appointed chairman of the Regional Election Commission (REC) for the Fifteenth Electoral District – Pleven for the elections for members of the European Parliament from the Republic of Bulgaria and for people’s representatives on June 9. This is stated in a decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC), published on its website.
Dimitrov was proposed by the GERB-SDS coalition. He was also the chairman of the commission in the previous early parliamentary elections from April 2 last year.
We remind you that at the consultations held on April 14 for the composition of the RIC in Pleven, an agreement was reached for the secretary of the commission. This is Nikolay Yakov from the quota of the coalition “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria” (PP – DB). No agreement was reached on the chairmanship, with two proposals. Therefore, the final decision on the composition and appointment of the RIC had to be made by the CEC.
There are four vice-presidents – Aigyul Hasanova (DPS), Svetlana Derekova (Vazrazhdane party), Monika Chocheva-Lilakova (BSP for Bulgaria coalition) and Yordanka Dimitrova-Bozheva (There is such a people party). Seven members of the commission in Pleven are also named in the decision of the CEC. Of them, three are from the quota of GERB – SDS, two from PP-DB and one each from DPS and Vazrazhdane party. RIC-Pleven is made up of a total of 13 members.
