“Eter” lost 2:0 in the derby at the bottom against “Botev” (Vratsa), and the match did not shine with quality at all, and the “violets” played 90 minutes (with the added time of both parts) with a man less.
Already in the 7th minute, Prince was forced to bring down the breakaway Perea and referee Georgi Kabakov awarded a foul on the edge of the penalty area with a yellow card, but he was called to the VAR by Ivaylo Stoyanov – Svatbata and changed his decision, with Prince being sent off. Cordova entered the game, and the Violets played with three central defenders. Shortly after, Perea headed over the bar again.
Etretsi did not let their guard down and made some good attacks, but without a finishing goal pass. In the 32nd minute, luck was completely behind the “boyars” – Smolenski shot from a distance and after ricocheting on the body of Aleksandrov, the ball fooled the young goalkeeper Martynov and entered the net for 1:0.
Even with a man less and with a passive, “Eter” rushed forward and delivered three accurate shots, but could not eliminate Kostov. In the 35th minute, the goalkeeper caught Laruchea’s long-range shot, then Ivan Vassilev was brilliantly brought out by van Rankin and shot, but Kostov took it out for a corner. After the performance, Laruchea forced the guard to hunt again with his head. In front of the opposite goal, a dangerous shot by Ndiaye was saved by Angel Martinov.
The second half did not offer quality football at all, and the marriage in the actions was prevalent. The weariness in the actions of ethers is definitely evident. Nothing interesting happened until the 87th minute, when Angel Martinov stopped the ball with his foot against Ndiaye who tried to pass him. In the last minute of added time, after a pass from the right, Daniel Genov made the final 2:0.
“Ether”: Angel Martynov, Josecarlos van Rankin, Georgi Alexandrov, Prince, Jean-Marc Thibouet, Gorka Laruchea, Joachim Carsella (78 Shano Bucolda), Kolyo Stanev (78 Lovre Knežević), Atanas Atanasov (58 Martin Moran), Didis Pita (14 Luis Cordova ), Ivan Vassilev (78 Alexander Mishov).

Svetoslav Petrov:
“Unfortunate development for us”

“We can’t get points if we don’t score a goal. An unfortunate development for us because until the red card we entered the game well and were the team that knew more about what to do. After the red card, we conceded an extremely unfortunate goal after a ricochet. It wasn’t our day. But I can’t be unhappy because we played with one less man for almost the whole match.
We had a 100% situation before the break and one or two more where we just didn’t reach it. All in all, it didn’t look like there were ten of us. And since we made “Botev” (Vr) delay the time in the last minutes with yellow cards, then in general we performed well. We have clear chances that we fail to convert. One of our goals would have turned the game in a completely different direction. We continue to work.
10 red cards during the season – this means bad judgment of situations, someone somewhere is late.
I want us to play football no matter where we are. The players themselves should show that “Eter” does not deserve the place it is in. In the spring, the team played well, but due to one mistake or another, we fell a little short of getting the most out of it. I don’t think we were weaker today, just an unfortunate turn of the game. Until the end of the season I won’t let anyone think it’s over, I’ll want to play and defend the colors of the club.”
