Ecologist Ivan Yordanov presents a lecture on the topic: “Climate changes

Regional Museum of Natural History – Plovdiv invites residents and guests of the city to a lecture on the topic: “Climate changes – nature and solutions”, presented by Ivan Yordanov. It will be held on April 23, 2024. from 19:00 in the Planetarium Hall of the museum.

The event is dedicated to the International Earth Day – April 22, and presents the problems related to climate change on the planet. Visitors and guests of the city will have the opportunity to learn about the extremely important issues related to climate change.

Ivan Yordanov graduated with a master’s degree in “Pharmacy” at Sofia Medical University in 2012. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in “Ecology and Ecosystem Protection” at Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv. He has a deep interest in all topics related to climate change, plastic and microplastic pollution, pesticide and heavy metal pollution, innovation in ecology and environmental protection and green transition. Leads an environmentally friendly lifestyle.

We live in a critical time for the survival of planet Earth, as we know it, which is teeming with life. Climate change threatens to turn vast swaths of the planet into deserts, submerge others, and simply wipe out the lives of others. Therefore, it is extremely important to understand the nature and significance of what is happening to the climate as a result of human activity, only in this way we can contribute to the fight against this colossal disaster.

On Earth Day, year after year, there are many issues: climate change, destruction of ecosystems, water and soil pollution, endangered animal and plant species, depletion of non-renewable resources.
Not only on Earth Day, but in our daily lives and throughout the rest of the year, we can make lifestyle changes to reduce our impact on the environment.
