The consulates general of Bulgaria, Turkey and Serbia in New York organized an event to present the cultures, traditions and opportunities for tourism in the three Balkan countries. This was reported to BTA by our diplomatic representation in New York.
The celebration was hosted by the Consulate General of Turkey in New York and was attended by nearly 500 guests from the three communities and their friends, our mission noted in its announcement.
The Consul General of Bulgaria in New York, Angel Angelov, introduced the guests to the participation of our country in the exhibition, paying special attention to the Bulgarian folk dances and music (presented by the dance ensemble “Gorana”), yogurt (from Trimona Yogurt), pies (with cheese , with spinach, with pumpkin, etc.) and cheese (from Malincho Euro Market & Deli), pita (Gergana Stoyancheva), stuffed peppers and eggplant (from Elisaveta Yordanova), wine (from importer Mitko Panov) and meat delicacies ( by Ivelin Naydenov), as well as tourism opportunities (from the Flights365 travel agency).
The Bulgarian people continued even after the Gorana dancers finished their official performance and included many of the guests. Many of the Bulgarian participants were dressed in clothes with folklore motifs by fashion designer Maya Nedelcheva, who presented her collection at the Consulate General in New York about two weeks ago.
