Over 120 children participated in the Spring Swimming Tournament “Yambol 2024”

Over 120 children took part in The spring swimming tournament “Yambol 2024”, which took place in the renovated swimming complex at the “Vasil Karagyozov” Language High School in Yambol. The event was organized by the Municipality of Yambol, the Local Commission for Combating Antisocial Behavior of Minors and Minors, Sports Club “Modern Pentathlon and Fencing” – Yambolthe Municipal Council on Narcotic Substances and Preventive Information Center-Yambol.

The deputy mayor of Yambol Encho Keryazov opened the race:

The swimmers were divided into several age groups categories and disciplinesstudents from 1st to 8th grade were eligible to participate, and the final ranking looks like this:

For the boys of I and II class in the 25 meter crawl category Yordan Nakov won the gold medal, the silver went to Pavel Georgiev, and the bronze went to Nikola Yordanov. In the 25 meter backstroke category Yordan Nakov again took first placebut this time followed by Pavel Chelebiev in second place and Kristian Parashkevov in third place.

For the girls, the 25 crawl category finished first Gergana Gerganovasecond place went to Veselin Stoyanovaand third – Maria Madina. In the 25-meter backstroke category, Veselina Stoyanova won the gold medal, the silver went to Gergana Gerganova, and Maria Madina finished third again

In older children, these from III to IV classboys, 50 meter crawl, Valentino Petrov was the first, followed by others Zhivko Muzikantski and Kristiyan Yordanov. In the 50-meter backstroke, Valentino Petrov again grabbed the gold, the silver went to Ioan Nakov, and the bronze went to Kristiyan Yordanov.

For girls, in the same age group, 50 meter crawl, the first place was awarded to Denitsa Mihova, behind her came second Alice Ivanova, and third was Viktoria Brinkova. On 50 meter backstroke Denitsa Mihova again she was flawless and finished first, followed by Victoria Brinkova and Donna Vasileva.

In the age group category V to VI classin the boys’ 50 meter crawl, Borislav Manchev finished in first position, and after him Stoyan Stoyanov and Teodor Zhelyazkov remained. In the 50-meter backstroke, Marten Makhchiev won the gold, while the silver and bronze went to Stoyan Stoyanov and Teodor Zhelyazkov again.

In the 50 meter crawl, but for the girls, Maria Georgieva was the first, Nicoleta Georgieva finished second, and Dimana Dimova finished third. In the 50m backstroke, the rankings looked the same.

In the latter age group, Class VII to VIIIin boys’ 50 meter crawl Stiliyan Vichev finished first, followed by Stelyan Podikov and Georgi Atanasov. In the 50 meter backstroke, Stilian Vichev and Stelian Podikov again finished first and second, respectively, with the third place going to Martin Ivanov.

In the 50 meter crawl, for girls, Mihaela Koleva finished in first position, second was Borislava Vasileva, and third was Ivanela Hadjieva. The 50m backstroke rankings looked identical.
