Inspirational role-playing games in which young people will film real interviews and take on the role of presenters and operators will take place during an upcoming media literacy training in Varna.

20 young people aged 15 to 29 will participate in the training.

The young people will have the opportunity to spend a large part of their training in the working premises and studio of the Regional Television Center – Varna, getting to know the work of the operators and technicians up close. With their help, they will take on the role of presenters, read from autocue and conduct interviews with their peers.

The upcoming training is part of the youth initiative “On the road to digital and media literacy”, which is implemented by the Association “My City” with the financial support of the Municipality of Varna, Directorate “Education and Youth Activities”.

The aim of the initiative is to increase the media literacy of young people in Varna, who are exposed to daily contact with information and different media content.

For all young people who also want to learn more about the topic, within the framework of the youth initiative, a broad information campaign will be launched on social networks under the title: “How to recognize fake news and use digital technologies without endangering my security”.

A new educational resource will also be created: “Roadmap for Digital and Media Literacy”.
