A dead drunk driver straightened the hair of Plovdiv policemen. The man sped along “Princess Maria Louisa” Blvd. when he was stopped for inspection. When tested with a drager, a result above 3 ppm was reported. The victim refused to be tested for the use of narcotic substances and also to give blood for chemical analysis. With a police order, he was detained for 24 hours within the framework of an expedited proceeding.
Seven more drivers have been arrested in the last three days. During the traffic control, five of the violators were detected in Plovdiv, and the remaining three in nearby settlements. The checks were carried out by teams of the “Road Police” sector, First and Sixth regional offices and their colleagues from Asenovgrad, Stamboliyski and Trud.
Five drunks were found on “Vasil Aprilov” Blvd., “Saint Petersburg” Blvd., “Skopje” St. and in the “Stolipinovo” district, as well as in the village of Boyantsi. Meanwhile, in Manolsko Konare, uniformed officers found a driver without a license on an electric scooter, whose alcohol test was also positive – over 2.5 per thousand. The driver of a car was also checked by the law enforcement officers in Peruštitsa, who had his license revoked after an administrative penalty.
