The construction of the new parking lot for nearly 180 cars begins
The old buildings of the market in Veliko Tarnovo from the Boulevard “Bulgaria” are already in history.
They were demolished as a parking lot for 180 cars and a new commercial area for fruit and vegetable sellers will be built in their place.
The demolition of the buildings was done professionally, a water jet was used to prevent dusting, and the metal parts were carefully separated for recycling.
The long-standing market sign from the eastern entrance was also removed. A new one will be placed in its place by design.
It is there that 5 more parking spaces will be built, which will serve those who wish to stop by for breakfast or to buy a flower. The flower area will also be renovated as part of the central entrance of the complex, in which the partners are the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo and the private company “Magro Market – M”.
The investment of just over BGN 2 million is part of the approved investment program of the company with 49% municipal participation.
A solar plant with a capacity of 300 kw has already been built in the market on the existing parking lot. To the delight of tenants and customers, the long-awaited replacement of the vegetable tables has already begun. The overall renovation of the market will be completed by the spring of 2025. The deadline is planned so that the object is not closed, but functions while its renovation lasts, the company informed the investor.
