WorkIn Stara Zagora changes destinies and gives thousands of opportunities – say realized participants

The largest career event in Southern Bulgaria, WorkIn Stara Zagora, organized by the Municipality of Stara Zagora for the second year in a row, changes destinies and gives thousands of opportunities for realization – this is shared by Valentina Hadjieva and Dimitrina Zhelyazkova, part of the first event as guests, and at this year’s as exhibitors.

When I came to the career forum in 2023 I had a stable job and rather attended out of interest and even intended to talk to people to attract them to the then company I was working for. However, fate had decided otherwise and I met Rositsa from Zagorka Bulgaria, who is currently my colleague. I was so attracted to the conversation and realized what I was missing that after a short while I applied to the companysaid Valentina Hadzhieva, who is already part of the HR department of one of the main exhibitors – Zagorka Bulgaria.

If I hadn’t come to the forum, I wouldn’t have taken this step, definitely WorkIn was my incentive, Valentina added. She explained that the company is looking for employees in various positions this year as well.

Dimitrina Zhelyazkova also shared that the exhibition in 2023 has opened up new opportunities for her and thus she is part of the Regiocom Bulgaria team.

I had seen a lot of ads on social media about the event, which piqued my interest, so I decided to attend. I admit that I was skeptical, since I know that in Stara Zagora there has never been such an event with such success, but I was very pleasantly surprised, she admits. Thus, Dimitrina gets to know part of the company’s team and is looking for her new colleagues at this year’s edition.

The first edition of WorkIn Stara Zagora was organized and held at the end of April 2023 and attracted over 30 leading companies in the city from various branches, as well as over 500 visitors in one place in the Stara Zagora Cultural Center. Due to the great interest, the second edition was held in the hall of the Stara Zagora State Opera and enjoyed double success.

Partners in the event are Thrace University, the Employment Agency, the Tourist Information Center, the International Youth Center, which have a special corner for personal meetings with the companies, the Personal Development Support Center, Framar and Mebeli Mondo. The career forum also has its tireless volunteers from the Youth Municipal Council with vice-president Denitsa Dimitrova and the Council of Young Ombudsmen in Stara Zagora.

On the second day, the program meets with exciting guests, including Niki Kanchev, Bilyana Yotovska, Ani Vladimirova and Bob Spence, who has gained popularity in the city of lime trees, who talks about how to create a business worth millions. Marin Hristov – Memo Moreno, who was born in Stara Zagora and is a rising star in the direction of melodic hip-hop, also brought mood. His mentor is one of the favorite Bulgarian artists Lyubo Kirov, with whom they work together on musical projects such as the cover of his hit Are There Flowers. Together with him, Alexander Kolev, who is a finalist from the last edition of The Voice of Bulgaria, came on stage.
