The municipal conference of the BSP in Gorna Oryahovitsa made only one nomination for the list with which socialists and partners will participate in the Parliamentary elections for IV MIR – Veliko Tarnovo. The Gornooryakhov proposal is Eng. Emilia Ivanova.

Among the potential candidates for the list were two of the leaders of the party – Ognyan Stoyanov and Gabriela Shilkova. The chairman of the municipal organization, Ognyan Stoyanov, refused the nomination on the grounds that he had made a commitment to the local government in Gorna Oryahovitsa and was concentrating on the goal of a successful mandate of the Municipal Council, whose chairman he is. Gabriela Shilkova is already the secretary of the Municipality, which limits her party influence quite a bit. activity and she is now only an ordinary member of the BSP.

Thus, the only candidate remained Eng. Emilia Ivanova, who was unanimously supported by the conference delegates.

Eng. Emilia Ivanova was born in Veliko Tarnovo, where she completed her secondary education. She graduated from VTU “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” and has a master’s degree in “Accounting and Control”. Later, he also completed a master’s degree in “Angel Kanchev” Rousse with an engineering specialty “Management of Transport Technology”. He has been working in the field of trade for over 15 years. He is also a teacher.

She has lived in Gorna Oryahovitsa for over 30 years, speaks Italian, has one child, has repeatedly participated in election campaigns of the Gorno Oryahovitsa party organization. Active participant in political and social life in the municipality. Member of BSP since 2016 and party secretary of party organization “Dimitar Dylgerov”.
