Glavchev met with Kurti: Bulgaria and Kosovo deepen their cooperation – Bulgaria

IN the possibilities for upgrading the bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Kosovo discussed acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev and his Kosovo counterpart Albin Kurti. This was announced by the government press service.

Satisfaction was expressed with the active political relations between the two countries, and the willingness to expand bilateral cooperation, as well as the partnership to strengthen security, stability and prosperity in the region, was confirmed. The two heads of government were unanimous that steps are needed to deepen cooperation in all spheres of mutual interest, highlighting the potential for upgrading relations in the field of trade and economic relations, information and communication technologies, the press service explained.

During the conversation, Acting Prime Minister Glavchev assured Albin Kurti that Bulgaria continues to support Kosovo’s European integration and Euro-Atlantic perspective, as well as the country’s candidacy for membership in the Council of Europe.

At the end of December 2023, President Rumen Radev paid a two-day official visit to Kosovo at the invitation of President Vyosa Osmani-Sadriu. The focus of his visit was the development and deepening of bilateral relations, cooperation in areas of mutual interest, the European perspective of Kosovo and the development of the Bulgarian community in the country. Rumen Radev also had a meeting with Albin Kurti.
