The third health mediator in Razgrad municipality starts work from today – News Razgrad

Another health mediator starts working today in Razgrad municipality. So far, two health mediators have been appointed in the “Healthcare” activity – Erdzhan Hasanov is responsible for the city of Razgrad, and Sevdzhan Basriev – for the village of Yasenovets.

These positions receive a targeted subsidy from the state budget, and those assigned to them mediate in the process of ensuring access to health services for representatives of vulnerable groups in the territory of Razgrad municipality. They support the population in the following aspects: improving the quality of health and social services in the municipality of Razgrad; raising the health culture of disadvantaged ethnic minorities; raising citizens’ awareness of the health system; facilitating access to health services for disadvantaged groups and persons with the highest degree of health vulnerability.

After a selection process, the Municipality of Razgrad announced another candidate for the position of “health mediator”. Nazife Aliyeva successfully went through specialized training to acquire the professional qualification “health mediator”. It is organized by the Faculty of Public Health of the Medical University – Sofia, together with the National Network of Health Mediators. For the second consecutive year, the training program included a training module for health mediators to work in hospital settings, developed and piloted by the National Network of Health Mediators within the framework of project BGLD-1.006-0001 “Health for All”, Program “Local Development, Reduction of poverty and improved inclusion of vulnerable groups”, financed by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2014-2021.

Aliyeva took office today, she will be responsible for two villages – Strazhets and Rakovski – settlements with the presence of vulnerable groups of the population that need assistance in providing health and social assistance. According to the approved schedule, on Monday and Friday he will be in Stražets, Tuesday and Thursday – in Rakovski, and on Wednesday – in the office of the health mediators in the High School Dormitory in Razgrad. In both villages, it can be found in the town halls or at the private doctors.
