“A foreign minister cannot change the policy of the country no matter what happens. There are enough other mechanisms through which he could be stopped. To me, the problem with the foreign minister is that we have very few good diplomatic staff who could to be in this position, and unfortunately all of them in one way or another, in order to reach the career they did, must have been close to either GERB, or DPS, or BSP. There will always be people, who say that this or that is not possible,” he said in the morning block of Nova TV.

“Bulgaria is not that big a country and we cannot choose from a basket of 100 ready-made foreign ministers. It is very difficult to be a foreign minister. I think that in Bulgaria it is very difficult for a foreign minister to change the policy somehow, I think that a little they amplified it more than necessary and made it a scandal,” added Alghafari.

“What’s wrong with the president of the state agreeing with one, two or three political formations so that they can make some kind of decent cabinet. And when he stands and looks at the list, it will be balanced. Regarding the claims that the official office of GERB, the question is whether there will be any drastic violations, in which we can say that they were committed by senior officials PP, from “Vazrazhdane”.
