The concerts of this year’s edition of Kapana Fest from May 9 to 12 will be ticketed for the first time since the forum was held under the hills. The reason given by the organizers is that, unlike previous years, the event in 2024 is outside the cultural calendar of the Municipality of Plovdiv. It is among the back-up projects that are funded only in case the organizers of one of the selected events with higher points withdraw.

“This forced the main stage concerts to be reformatted and require tickets. The other alternative before our team was to be without a main stage music program for the first time. Instead, we created an innovative, mutually beneficial partnership strategy whereby we joined forces with other concert and festival operators. We provide technical support for the events, and our partners will organize the four festival evenings,” the organizer’s team, Nikola Sivkov, said.

They specify that all other Kapana Fest activities will be free for visitors.

This is the second change after organizers announced that the fest and Bazaar Kapana will not be held as one event, but as separate events. The bazaar will be from May 1 to 6, and Kapana Fest from May 9 to 12.

Their argument is to create an atmosphere saturated with positive emotions in Plovdiv during the holidays. The new concept aims to showcase the difference and beauty of the festival and bazaar separately and is part of Kapana Fest’s development vision on the occasion of the event’s tenth anniversary, which will be celebrated in 2025.
