The National Revenue Agency is sending emails or calling individuals who are known to have received royalties, agricultural subsidies, cash on delivery amounts from Internet sales, etc. in 2023, reminding them that they must declare and pay the income tax from these activities by April 30.

The data is entered in the pre-filled annual tax returns, and the information on the type of income received is reflected in the relevant annexes. Before it is signed and submitted, the pre-filled data must be reviewed, completed and corrected if necessary, as well as whether the income entered in the return is taxable or non-taxable. Taxable income is subject to mandatory declaration, and non-taxable income, such as income from the sale of personal belongings, can be declared to the NRA at will. The electronic service for submitting an annual tax return under Art. 50 of the VAT is available with a personal identification code (PIC) or with a qualified electronic signature (KEP) in the e-Portal of the revenue agency. Persons who do not have a PIK can obtain it in minutes and free of charge at any NRA office.

In case of failure to submit a declaration or pay the due tax, citizens are subject to sanctions.

Information on completing and submitting tax and insurance declarations and contributing amounts to the budget can be obtained on the revenue agency’s telephone numbers: 0700 18 700 or 02/9859 6801, at a price according to the tariff of the relevant operator and on the NRA website.
