According to him, a second center of power is being formed and it is in the ranks of the municipal administration – the group around Vladimir Temelkov, who, according to him, is the new favorite of GERB and gaining strength. Among the new centers he pointed out the group of “Bravo Plovdiv”. Minchev also explained that these centers undermine the local authority of the mayor.
“Second center of power, this is a seizure of power behind the mayor’s back. When there are other centers around other personalities who play in places other than the Municipal Council then it is dangerous.
The intrigue of pitting personalities against each other is Borisov’s patent – he pitted Ivan Totev against Zdravko Dimitrov, Dani Kanazireva against Zdravko Dimitrov, but these were internal party intrigues. In addition, at that time GERB in Plovdiv had a clear and categorical leader who did not allow such liberties.
If this situation continues, the mandate of Kostadin Dimitrov will also go down”, commented Lyubomir Minchev.
He also added that Mayor Kostadin Dimitrov should be braver, be a visionary, have ideas and a cause to defend. Instead, he is indecisive and afraid to state his position, to defend it.
