The “Left” refused Vanya Grigorova, registered with the CEC and without Maya Manolova

From “THE LEFT!” registered with the Central Election Commission for “2 in 1” elections, and just two days ago they signed for the unification of seven formations for a general appearance, including until recently left-wing politicians, such as the former social leader Mikhail Mikov, who left the BSP. A week earlier, however, Maya Manolova came out from the “Left” with her “Stand Up. BG” formation, which was part of the coalition since its creation.

At the same time, the chairman of the “Levitsa” coalition council, Kostadin Paskalev, stated that Vanya Grigorova sought them out earlier in connection with the elections, before the registration in the CEC, and they met on her initiative.

The “Left” refused her because “in the process of the talks it became clear that her claimants are incompatible with the principles of the left unificationnamely – equal treatment of the participants in the coalition “LEFT!” commented Paskalev, quoted by the formation’s press center.

“I believe that the stated claims for sole decision-making from the point of view of policy formation, setting priorities and personnel disposition in the “LEFT!” are unacceptable to us”, he told the media.

Earlier today, the municipal councilor from the BSP group Vanya Grigorova announced that she will appear in the early parliamentary elections, and according to Dir.bg, the format will be a coalition of parties in the left and centrist spectrum under the name “Solidary Bulgaria”.

For her part, Tsveteslava Galabova, who is part of the “Levitsa”, commented a few days ago on the information that Vanya Grigorova and Maya Manolova will appear together in the elections. And he announced the exact opposite of what Kostadin Paskalev said today, namely that Vanya Grigorova was the one who refused the offer of “Levitsa” for a general appearance.

“Mrs. Grigorova, nominated for mayor of Sofia by the BSP and the Left, refused our offer to be included in the lists. Under no circumstances does she agree. Mrs. Manolova, who was part of the Left, has herself chosen to leave us. It was good to say it to our eyes. After all, we all worked for her candidate-turned-councillor. Of course, our coalition with the BSP is now minus two councilors.” Galabova wrote on Facebook.

Today, Grigorova herself did not specify with which parties she will register to vote.

In the form of “THE LEFT!”, which Manolova left, PP “Green Party”, PP “Agricultural Union “Alexander Stamboliyski”, PP “National Movement for the Salvation of the Fatherland”, PP “Political Movement of Social Democrats”, Association “Left” will appear view”, Bulgarian National Union “Fighting Friendship”, “National Unity Movement”.

“This is the third time that “LEFTISTA!” is participating in elections. In the local vote, we doubled our result compared to the parliamentary ones. We are convinced that we will be able to maintain this trend,” Kostadin Paskalev said upon their registration at the CEC.
