In Sliven, a round table was held “The legacy of Sliven – captivating and multifaceted”. During the event, Dora Chaneva, an expert in the Education, Culture and Public Relations Directorate, presented a report on the development of cultural and historical tourism in the City under the Blue Stones. Teodora Nedyalkova and Victoria Mikhneva – curators at the Regional History Museum “Dr. Simeon Tabakov” – Sliven, Karolin Kapitanova – curator at the “Dimitar Dobrovich” Art Gallery – Sliven, Maya Ivanova – head of the Tuida Fortress and Tony took part in the discussion Dimitrova – leading branch Museum of the Textile Industry. Deputy Mayor Pepa Chilikova congratulated the participants.

“The history of our city has preserved pages filled with heroism and struggle, with creativity and spiritual uplift – testimony to the strength and hard work of the people who lived and are living in Sliven. It awakens in us, the citizens of Sliven, a sense of legitimate pride, affirms our historical memory, because Sliven is proof of the strength of the Bulgarian roots and the strength of the Bulgarian spirit. Sliven is a city from the Valley of the Thracian Kings, an important spiritual and educational center from the First and Second Bulgarian Kingdoms, an economic and political center from the Renaissance period and after the Liberation. A city whose awake citizens jealously guard the connection with their spiritual roots and old traditions,” Chilikova pointed out.

The round table is organized by the Municipality of Sliven under the Project “Heritage of Sliven – Captivating and Multifaceted” under the Program “Cultural Entrepreneurship, Heritage and Cooperation”.
