Dinko Valev was charged with being the head of an organized crime group that blackmailed booksellers

District Prosecutor’s Office–Yambol prosecuted three persons for participating in an organized criminal group for extortion

District Prosecutor’s Office-Yambol brought to criminal responsibility Dinko Valev and two other men with the initials S.K. and G.G. .

They are accused of participating in an organized criminal group, which is structurally separate and headed by Dinko Valev.

It was created with a profit motive to commit crimes in the territory of the country.

The organized criminal group operated from October 2021 to April 16, 2024 – a crime under Article 321, Paragraph 3, Item 2 of the Criminal Code.

During the investigation, it was found that the members of the group forced and attempted to force various individuals to perform actions against their will. For this purpose, threats to the life, health and property of the victims were used, as a result of which one of the victims suffered financial damage, and in relation to another victim, the act remained unfinished – crimes under Art. 214, para. 2, t .2 and item 3, cf. art. 213a, paragraph 2, item 3 and item 4, cf. art. 26, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.

The district prosecutor’s office in Yambol told bTV that the victims were Bulgarian and foreign citizens who had an accident on the road and were asked for sums that were many times larger than the real ones. Dinko Valev has a technique for pulling crashed and damaged shooting ranges off the road.

Regarding S.K. and G.G. charges have been filed. A request was made to take a remand measure “detention in custody” in relation to them, which was accepted by the Yambol District Court.

Regarding D.V., who is admitted to a hospital, a decree has been drawn up to bring him to criminal responsibility, which will be presented to him after his health condition improves.
