With letters and a phone call, the NRA reminds citizens to declare their income by April 30. From the revenue agency send e-mails or phone calls to natural persons who are known to have received royalties, agricultural subsidies, direct debits from Internet sales, etc. in 2023, reminding them that they must declare and pay the tax on the income from these activities by April 30.

The data is entered in the pre-filled annual tax returns, and the information on the type of income received is reflected in the relevant annexes. Before being signed and submitted, the completed data should be reviewed, supplemented and corrected if necessary, as well as assessing whether the income entered in the declaration is taxable or non-taxable. Taxable income is subject to mandatory declaration, and non-taxable income, such as income from the sale of personal belongings, can be declared to the NRA at will.

The electronic service for submitting an annual tax return under Art. 50 from VAT is available with a personal identification code (PIC) or with a qualified electronic signature (KEP) in the e-Portal of the revenue agency. Persons who do not have a PIK can obtain it in minutes and free of charge at any NRA office.

In case of failure to submit a declaration or pay the due tax, citizens are subject to sanctions.

Information on filling in and submitting tax and insurance declarations and contributing amounts to the budget can be obtained on the telephones of the revenue agency: 0700 18 700 or 02/9859 6801, at a price according to the tariff of the relevant operator and in the NRA website.
