“The Bulgarian Footprint in Space” is the theme of the April issue of LIK magazine. The publication was inspired by the 45th anniversary of the flight into Earth orbit of the first Bulgarian cosmonaut, Georgi Ivanov, which took place on April 10.
The Bulgarian Telegraph Agency presented the edition in the “MaxiM” hall in the agency’s building on Earth Day. The event was held jointly via video link in the other national press clubs of BTA in the country and abroad.
In the national press club of BTA in Dobrich, the presentation of LIK magazine was attended by the students Bozhidara Kostadinova and Svetoslav Trifonov from the private profiled high school “Raiko Tsonchev” in Dobrich and their chemistry and physics teacher Margarita Naidenova.
Bozhidara Kostadinova told BTA that the competition for SpaceCamp in Izmir is high. She herself has applied twice to be included in it, having reached the second stage, in which they conduct an interview. Bozhidara wants to work in aviation and space medicine in the future. She added that one of her dreams is to be able to perform surgical interventions in a space environment and in zero gravity.
