The Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences solemnly graduated its students from the Class of 2023

Nearly 800 masters and bachelors from almost 30 specialties of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences at PU “Paisii Hilendarski” received their diplomas at a solemn ceremony.

In addition to members of the management of the University and the Faculty, the graduation ceremony was also attended by representatives of businesses with whom FISN has been working for the benefit of students for years.

The dean Assoc. Margarita Ruseva congratulated the graduates and wished them to have a successful career and to keep the memory of what they experienced at the university. “If you turn back in a difficult moment, always have the self-confidence that you are part of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences”, stressed Prof. Ruseva.

This year, the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences celebrates thirty years since its establishment. For its anniversary, the Faculty plans a series of events, the culmination of which will be in the fall. Then a large-scale international economic conference is planned. Competitions and Olympiads are also organized with participants from other universities, as well as lectures on various disciplines intended for high school students. A short film dedicated to the development of the Faculty is also being prepared.

We remind you that FISN has existed since 1994. The founder and first dean is Prof. Mariana Mihailova. The faculty started with only 2 majors and 200 students. Thirty years later, the number for both indicators is 15 times larger, as almost 3,000 people are currently studying at the Faculty, noted the current dean Assoc. Margarita Ruseva.
