The “Konstantin Iliev” Chamber Music Week in Dobrich begins with a concert by the Bulgarian Chamber Orchestra – Dobrich

Bulgarian Chamber Orchestra – Dobrich (BKO) will open the “Konstantin Iliev” Chamber Music Week with a concert today. This edition of the musical event is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the famous Bulgarian contemporary composer, conductor, teacher, music critic Professor Konstantin Iliev.
Guest soloists of BKO – Dobrich will be Yanko Marinov – organ and Zornitsa Spiridonova – timpani.
In the program selected by BKO conductor Maestro Arto Chifchiyan, classical music lovers will hear Pancho Vladigerov’s Divertimento. The performance is dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the composer’s birth. The musicians will also perform String Quartet No. 1, first movement by Prof. Konstantin Iliev and Concerto for organ, timpani and string orchestra by Francis Poulenc. This performance is also dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the composer’s birth. BKO – Dobrich will also present two works by Aram Khachaturyan. They are “Adagio” from the ballet “Spartacus” and “Dance with Sabers” from the ballet “Gaiane”
The concert is on April 23 in the “Dobrich” concert hall. The chamber music week will continue until April 26.
