For the first time, for the musical part of the “Trap Fest” program in Plovdiv, visitors will have to pay for entrance. Access will be with tickets, as in a normal concert event, and not as before. The change, which affects Plovdiv residents and guests of the city, was announced by the organizers on the official page of the event on social networks.
The reason for introducing a paid entrance is the dropping of the festival from the Cultural Calendar of the Municipality of Plovdiv, which also deprived it of funding. Nevertheless, there will be a festival, and with a rather strong program. Music lovers should count from BGN 20 to BGN 60 for individual musical performances.
“Lack of support in 2024 necessitated a change of concept for the spring-summer Kapana Fest. Instead of being left without a large stage and music program, we created an innovative, mutually beneficial partnership strategy through which we joined forces with other concert and festival operators. “Kapana Fest” shares its main stage, provides the technical and decorative area around it at its own expense, and our partners independently organize the music program in each of the four musical evenings,” the organizers said in a statement.
It is important to note, however, that all other events and activities within the festival remain free for visitors.
This year’s anniversary edition of “Trap Fest” will take place from May 9 to 12. Among the artists who will take to the music stage are ONYX, Dara Ekimova and Mila Robert and others. Opera Open and Opera Plovdiv will participate with a special program on the last day. On May 11, they will be visiting Central Square on behalf of the Sofia Live Festival Bile/Grigovor/Gena, Leena and YAIA, TDK and PISTAMASHINA.
Again, for the first time, the fest and “Bazaar Kapana” will be held not as one event, but as separate ones. The bazaar will start earlier and run from May 1 to 6.
