Hear the news:

Journalist Dimitar Stoyanov from the investigative site BIRD BG was detained for 24 hours.

The reason is that he threatened a NRA employee with a weapon, who complained to the police.

The incident took place on Monday, around 6:30 p.m., in the capital’s “Hadji Dimitar” district.

The Ministry of the Interior confirmed Stoyanov’s arrest.

Earlier, he published a post on social networks in which he claimed to have been attacked.

In it, Stoyanov wrote that he was attacked in the back in the store while he was shopping, and showed a photo showing traces of a scalpel on his head.

“Even when you’re shopping gently, there’s always some jerk who’ll attack you because you’re shopping in a store he doesn’t like. If you don’t get scared, he’ll run away and then attack you in the back, beat you like an angry woman and he will explain how he will kill you… And you have no idea where it came from. I’m still wondering if it’s a provocation or an idiot”adds the journalist in his profile.

His colleague Atanas Chobanov wrote on Facebook that Stoyanov was taken with a police patrol from “Pirogov”, where he obtained a medical certificate.
