The Institute of Chartered Certified Accountants in Bulgaria (IDES) elected a new composition of management bodies. Ilia Iliev is the new chairman of the professional organization of auditors, elected by vote after the General Assembly held last week. The new Board of Directors, as well as the members of the individual boards, take over the management of the Institute for the next 4 years.
Ilia Iliev is a certified expert accountant, a member of IDES since 1999. He was the chairman of the regional organization of the Institute in Varna (for the mandates 2002 – 2004, 2014 – 2017). During the past 4-year term, he held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Board, having participated in the management of the Institute in 3 previous terms (2004 – 2007 and 2017 – 2024). He succeeds Boyko Kostov, who led IDES for a total of 3 terms (2011-2017 and 2020-2024).
