The Institute of Chartered Certified Accountants in Bulgaria (IDES) elected a new composition of its management bodies. Ilia Iliev is the new chairman of IDES, elected by vote after the General Assembly held last week, the organization reports.
He is a certified expert accountant, a member of IDES since 1999. He was the chairman of the regional organization of the Institute in Varna. During the past 4-year term, he held the position of vice-chairman of the Board, participating in the management of the institute and in 3 previous mandates He succeeds Boyko Kostov, who led IDES for a total of 3 mandates.
Iliev graduated from the University of Economics – Varna, majoring in “Accounting and Control”, and is currently a partner and manager in “Primorska Auditorska Kompaniya” OOD. At the beginning of his professional career, he worked as a chief accountant and lecturer in accounting and auditing at the University of Economics – Varna (1995 – 2004) and “Chernorizets Hrabar” VSU (2004 – 2009).
The new Management Board of the Institute includes Daniela Petkova, Valya Yordanova, Milena Rangelova, Snezhana Basheva, Plamen Donev, Deyan Konstantinov, Georgi Trenchev and Philip Lyapov.
New members of the other councils in IDES were also elected, including the Control Council, the Disciplinary Council, the Professional Ethics Council and the Audit Services Quality Control Council.
