A car driver was injured after a road accident involving three cars in Antonovo municipality.
On 22/04/2024 at around 1:55 p.m. on the I-4 road (Sofia-Varna), at the entrance to the village of Moravitsa, a legally capable 26-year-old driver from the town of Dryanovo, driving in the direction of traffic Varna – town Sofia “Volkswagen Caddy” truck with Veliko Tarnovo registration has undertaken an overtaking maneuver.
The car he was driving entered the oncoming traffic lane and collided sideways with a Nissan Primera passenger car with Veliko Tarnovo registration, owned and driven by a 65-year-old licensed driver from the town of Gorna Oryahovitsa, and with a truck “Iveko S- 50” – company property, managed by a legally capable 60-year-old driver from the city of Sofia. As a result of the traffic accident, significant material damage was caused to the three cars.
The driver of the passenger car was taken to the Medical Center-Targovishte for examination. It was established that he had fractures of the fingers of a lower limb, the relevant manipulations were performed and he was released for home treatment.
Samples were taken from the three drivers in the proper order – with a Dreger breathalyzer, for the possible presence of alcohol in their exhaled air. The samples are negative.
Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case.
