Municipal Council – Burgas gave the “green light” to three new businesses for millions of BGN, which have sent investment intentions to the Municipality of Burgas to build bases in the industrial zones.

Mayor Dimitar Nikolov pointed out that securing jobs and prospects for business nowadays, where Bulgaria is torn by political contradictions. According to him, it takes a lot of courage for someone to make investments and open jobs right now.

“After the administration was able to move things quickly, I also hope that the Municipal Council will make a positive decision,” he added.

The first investor plans to implement production and construction installation works of machinery and equipment, pressure vessels, metal structures, pipelines and their warranty maintenance. It is intended that upon completion and launch at full capacity, the newly recruited staff will reach 150 people. The investment is in the amount of BGN 10,000,000.

The second investment intention concerns the expansion of the company’s activities on the territory of the Municipality of Burgas. It is planned to build a second hall for metal blanks and tanks, valves, chain conveyors, as well as non-standard vessels and devices. The enterprise is export-oriented to the international market, but part of the production is also directed to the local market, according to the specificity of consumer demand. To achieve the set goals, the investor relies on his accumulated knowledge and experience in this type of production. The intention is that the newly appointed year-round staff will be a minimum of 20 people. An investment of at least BGN 5,000,00 is planned.

The largest investment is a large German manufacturer to develop “Production of an innovative heat pump with a wide range of power levels”, which for 3 years has been exploring the possibilities of developing its company in Southern Europe.

The investor points out that in the course of its market growth in Southern Europe, it plans to establish a location that allows proximity to the market and at the same time is logistically justified. It states that Bulgaria is a suitable destination for a number of reasons: proximity to important sub-suppliers in neighboring countries, good port access, both for the end product and its suppliers, a member state of the European Union, therefore facilitated delivery to all other EU member states .

He states that he plans to implement this investment in Burgas on the territory of the Industrial Park – Phase 2, and with a positive development of the investment, after completion and launch of the full capacity, the newly appointed staff will reach 200 people. He claims an investment of 50,000,00 euros.

Currently, the investor is preparing documents with which to apply to the Bulgarian Investment Agency and receive a “Class A” investment certificate.
