A milling company based in General Toshevo won the honorable third place in the prestigious ranking of Forbes for MANUFACTURING ENTERPRISE OF THE YEAR for 2024. This is LULIS MEL – BULGARIA EAD, which is Bulgarian daughterly company on Greekata LOULIS FOOD INGREDIENTS SA The award ceremony took place at the annual awards Forbes Business Awardswhich took place in Sofia.
The award was presented to Ivan Hristov, sales manager of LULIS MEL BULGARIA by Evgeni Haramliyski – Exp. Director of Domaine Boyar.
LULIS FLOUR BULGARIA has the most modern flour mill in the Balkans, located in General Toshevo. It started production in 2020, and in a few years it climbed to No. 3 in terms of turnover out of over 200 mills in Bulgaria (official data from 2022).
The production process is fully automated, and the enterprise contributes to the creation of high added value in relation to its partners in the technological chain (suppliers and industrial customers), by jointly developing and implementing process and product innovations that have become established on the market. The company was selected as Manufacturing Company of the Year after demonstrating to the jury how it achieved over 90% utilization of factory capacity in 2023, surpassing the Lean Production gold standard generally accepted as utilization of 85% of the installed capacities.

This is another award for the young company located in Dobrudja, after in December 2023 it was awarded the Innovative Enterprise of the Year in the “Innovation Management” category.
