A man and a woman in custody, who robbed Haskovlia and withdrew money from his bank account

A woman from Haskovo and a man from Kardzhali are in custody for stealing money from the Haskovo resident through his bank card, which they queued up in a store.

The police got to the criminals after a complaint from the victim. The 59-year-old reported this Monday that his bank account had been drained. He told the police about his suspicions about who the thieves were, explaining that shortly before midnight on April 20, while shopping at a grocery store on Bulgaria Boulevard, he met a man and a woman.

When on the morning of the 22nd he receives a message about withdrawals from his card, he discovers that his wallet with personal documents and his bank card are missing. He had over BGN 3,400 in his account by the time of the assault. In the course of the work, the officers found and subsequently detained a 37-year-old woman from Haskovo and a 34-year-old man from Kardzhali. They confess to the trespass and return the belongings to the man they robbed. However, the money they withdrew turns out to be spent.

The two are acquaintances of the police and have been detained for up to 24 hours as part of the pre-trial proceedings.
