Elena Yoncheva was nominated for MEP at a meeting of the regional council of the DPS in Blagoevgrad, its chairman Vedat Husein confirmed for the BNR and specified that she is from the civilian quota.
Delyan Peevski is again the leader of the list for the early parliamentary elections, but he is also on the list for the European Parliament, as he received the most nominations for both votes on June 9.
Elena Yoncheva was nominated in the previous European vote by the BSP and until now was in the group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats.
The nomination is now from the civil quota, explained the regional chairman of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms in Blagoevgrad, Vedat Husein.
“Everyone has the right to proposals. The regional council proposed it. They expressed a position that she defended our positions in the European Parliament, together with Ilhan Kyuchuk they defended the interests. She is from the civil quota nominated in the regional council, she was not nominated by the party”. Hussein pointed out.
By the end of the week, the proposals of the regional leadership must be sent to the DPS headquarters in Sofia.
“We arrange the lists according to the instructions of the Central Council. We arrange them in alphabetical order and the Central Council has already authorized the Central Operational Bureau, together with the chairmen, to arrange both for the European Parliament and for the Bulgarian Parliament,” concluded Vedat Hussein.
