In the “North” district, students from classes I to IV created amazing models of recyclable waste on the occasion of International Earth Day.

More than 50 students from various schools in the area participated in the initiative. They showed their creativity and commitment to the protection of the environment during the fun and educational project of the “Northern” district, Mayor Vencislava Ljubenova reports.

The students used a variety of materials such as straws, caps, jars, bottles and many others that would normally be thrown away. This time, however, the waste was turned into projects that inspired the attendees of the event. From miniature cities built from plastic caps to spaceships made from old bottles, each creation was unique and impressive.

We congratulate all the participants in the contest who recreated the meaning and symbolism of Earth Day in an original way. These models not only demonstrate their skills and creativity, but also serve as an important reminder of the need to care for the environment and change to a more sustainable lifestyle, Ljubenova said.

In the region, various initiatives were held in all kindergartens and schools:

– “The good continues” in DG “Rainbow” with an Easter charity bazaar with the cause of the year “Let’s keep Toshko’s smile”, which will last until April 25 with the great works of children from all groups and parents made with a lot of desire and love.

– At Hristo Botev National University, the celebration was accompanied by a chalk drawing competition, art installations and an exhibition in the school yard.

– The children in the “Nightingale” kindergarten made their garden yard more beautiful by planting spring flowers and herbs, and the students in the “N.Vaptsarov” secondary school planted trees and put up birdhouses.

Thank you to everyone who, with their contribution to a cleaner and healthier environment to preserve life, got involved and participated in various events in the region and the city, the mayor of “Severen” also said.
