Mariana Evstatieva-Biolcheva studied film and television directing at the Film School in Lodz, Poland. Debut in documentary cinema. Even with his first films, he showed an interest in the world of children, which he then carried over to feature films. A kind of study of how children perceive the cinema is her cycle of educational films “We Love the Cinema” (1968)
He made his feature film debut with “The Tiger” (1973) based on a script by Vasil Akyov, followed by “Moments in a Matchbox” (1979) with a Silver Award from the International Film Festival-Moscow’79 and “Golden Lace” from International Film Festival-Avelino, Italy’81 .
Her filmography includes “Abduction in Yellow” (1981), based on Pavel Vezhinov’s story “Incident on the Quiet Street”, with “Silver Lacheno” at the Avelino International Film Festival ’83, Italy and the Audience Award at the 14th Gijon Festival, Spain’ 81; “The Devil’s Weapon” (1982), scripted by Boyan Biolchev, with “Silver Lace” in Avellino, Italy ’83, “Up on the Cherry” (1984), “Looking for a Husband for Mom” (1985) with a Silver Medal from the ICF Moscow’85 and prize from ICF Alanson’87, France, “Amigo Ernesto”(1986), “The Foreign Nephew”(1989) based on the tale “The Young Englishman” by Wilhelm Hauf.
For television, he shot the films “Poison at the Source” (1985), “Don’t hang around at my feet” (1987) with “Golden Chest” and the Intervision Award from the International Television Film Festival in Plovdiv 88, “Hello, Grandma” (1991 ), the children’s novel “The Wedding” (1997) and the series “The Blue Lamp” (1974), “Goodbye, Love” (1975), “Men Without Mustaches” (1989), “Dear Dad – The Letters of a Dachshund” (2001) ), “The Prince and the Pauper” (2005).
The funeral will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2024, in the “St.Sedmochislenitsi” church at 1:30 p.m.
