Over 650 performers will perform on five stages for Lazarov Day and Palm Sunday in Burgas

Over 650 performers from 16 folk dance ensembles, six theater schools for contemporary art, ballet, Latin, hip-hop and sports dance, 10 choral and vocal formations, a youth brass band and four youth theater schools will perform on a total of five stages in a rich the program that the Municipality of Burgas is preparing on the occasion of the upcoming Christian holidays of Lazarus Day and Palm Sunday, was announced by the press center of the city administration. The celebrations will begin on April 26 with a holiday concert under the title “Oh, Lazarus, Palm Sunday is coming, Palm Sunday and Easter in a personal St. George’s Day” in the park of the Slaveykov complex, organized by the Pencho Slaveykov 1983 People’s Community Center. Alongside the music and dance performances, there will also be creative workshops and a bazaar. On April 27, at St. Cyril and Methodius Square, children can participate in the Tsvetolinie workshop, and later be spectators at a concert of the dance formations of the Atanas Minchev Folklore Ensemble. The two events are on the initiative of the Probuda 1880 People’s Community Center. On the same day, “Love” art studio with Rositsa Chobanova will be organized on “Aleko Konstantinov” street. On the stage there will also be performances by the Vocal Studio “Seasons” at the “Probuda 1880” National Music Center led by Kina Hristova and the “Trepetlika” Folk Choir led by Pepa Zapryanova. The National Flower Exhibition “Flora Burgas 2024” will also be opened on Lazarov Day. and the musicians from the “Hot Sand” group, the Burgas Wind Orchestra, as well as a dance performance by the children from the “Magic” Kindergarten are included in the celebration. On Palm Sunday – April 28, in the central part of the city there will be five zones for festive events – on St. St. Cyril and Methodius”, “Aleksandrovska” street, “Atanas Sirekov” square, the garden near Chasovnika and the garden next to the “Holy Mother of God” church. Hundreds of children from Burgas schools and kindergartens are expected to participate in the flower parade , which will start from “Troikata” square and passing through “Aleksandrovska” street, will reach “Atanas Sirekov” square. Two large stages in the “Meden Rudnik” complex will host large folklore concerts with the participation of the “Zharava” orchestra with soloists Irena Stankova and Lazar Nalbantov, as well as various folklore and art formations organized by the “St. St. Cyril and Methodius 1985” and “Paisius Hilendarski 1928”. In front of the “Flora” Expo Center there will also be a children’s workshop on planting orchids, which will be led by a representative of the First Orchid Society in Bulgaria.
In the Center for Contemporary Art and Library, visitors will be able to watch the children’s educational and entertainment show “Easter Bell” at the Pan Theater. For the holiday, large concerts with various participants from various folk ensembles, dance schools, theater and vocal student formations from all complexes and neighborhoods of Burgas will also be organized on Atanas Sirekov Square, St. St. Cyril and Methodius Square, the kindergartens to the church “St. Bogoroditsa” and the Clock. The evening will end with the performance “Multicolor Dance Kaleidoscope” on “Atanas Sirekov Square” with presenters from the youth theater group “Valery and Friends”.
