Enterprises from Stara Zagora can be involved in projects for the reconstruction of Ukraine

The Deputy Ambassador of Ukraine to Bulgaria, Anna Tertychna, extended an invitation to the Stara Zagora Municipality to participate in a Ukrainian-Bulgarian business forum, which will be held on April 25, 2024 in Sofia. The forum will take place both in person and online.

During a visit to Stara Zagora, Anna Tertichna spoke with the deputy mayor in charge of “Municipal property, health care and social activities” Pavlina Delcheva and with the director of the Directorate “European Programs and Protocol” Georgi Simeonov.

“Speaking of the Ukrainian-Bulgarian bilateral cooperation, I want to note that last year was extremely successful, we had more than dozens of contacts at the highest level. As a continuation of these visits and arrangements, a large Ukrainian-Bulgarian business forum is being held in Sofia on April 25. I assume that the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will also invite the regional one in Stara Zagora, there will be a large presence of Ukrainian business, more than 30 delegates, as well as the possibility of online inclusion in the work of this forum,” explained the deputy ambassador.

According to her, the forum is really of great interest to both countries, as over the last 4 years the exchange of goods has tripled and the trend is to continue increasing.

In 2024, a forum of cities and regions in Ukraine will also be held, and through it Stara Zagora will also have the opportunity to make contacts for future projects related to the recovery of Ukraine, Ms. Tertychna also announced. She recalled the enormous support to Ukraine from both the European Union and the United States. “Many projects are already starting, the resumption of work of a large number of enterprises of strategic national importance, especially in the field of energy, is planned,” announced the deputy ambassador. She emphasized this industry, as her hosts from Stara Zagora explained how important it is for our city and the region.

At the business forum on April 25, 2024 in Sofia, projects in various fields – agriculture, processing industry and related to infrastructure – will be discussed.
